How much does outsourced casino support cost?
A monthly support quote only makes sense when you know how much work it buys. Two providers can both offer 24/7 coverage and be selling very different services.
What are you actually paying for?
The main cost drivers are coverage hours, workload, languages and the level of investigation agents are expected to handle. A team answering straightforward account questions has a different workload from one tracing deposits, following up with payment providers and managing unresolved cases across shifts.
There is no single price that covers every casino. Start with the service you need, then compare quotes against the same brief. Otherwise, a cheaper headline price may simply include less capacity or leave more work with your internal team.
A useful quote separates the recurring service fee, any onboarding charge and the rules for work beyond the agreed scope. It should also say whether helpdesk licences, supervision, training and quality reviews are included.
Shared and dedicated pricing work differently
With shared support, agents work across more than one operator. You pay for an agreed share of the team's capacity rather than an exclusive team. This can suit a casino with a quieter or uneven queue, provided the provider has a clear way to handle competing demand.
With a dedicated team, agents are assigned to your operation. The fee needs to support that team's staffing and management, even during quiet periods. Dedicated support can make more sense when your queue is consistently busy or your procedures require deeper product knowledge.
Ask what the price is based on: agents, staffed hours, contacts or a monthly capacity allowance. If contacts are counted, check whether a reopened ticket or a follow-up conversation counts again.
The staffing maths behind 24/7 coverage
One continuously staffed position requires 168 hours every week. At 40 hours per employee, that is 4.2 people before allowing for breaks, holidays, sickness, training or meetings. It does not mean four agents can reliably cover the full week.
If 25% of paid hours are unavailable for queue work, one employee provides 30 queue hours from a 40-hour week. Then 168 ÷ 30 = 5.6 full-time equivalents. Rounding to six is a starting point for a roster, not proof that every shift is covered.
For an illustrative salary-only budget, six people at $1,200 each would cost $7,200 per month. That excludes employer costs, management, software, equipment and the provider's margin. The salary and unavailable-time assumptions here are chosen to show the calculation, not to quote Roundtide's prices or local employment costs.
This calculation covers one active position at a time. If the workload needs two people online together, the staffing requirement increases. A shared provider can spread its team cost across clients, but its overall roster still has to cover the hours and workload it promises.
What to send a provider before asking for a quote
If you already operate, share recent contact volumes by hour and day, typical handling times, your main contact reasons and the size of any existing backlog. Separate live chat from email. A monthly total alone hides the peaks that determine staffing.
If you have not launched, say so. Describe the launch plan, expected markets, support channels and payment methods. Agree initial capacity and a review point rather than presenting an uncertain forecast as a fixed requirement.
- Which channels and languages need coverage?
- What can agents resolve, and what needs your approval?
- Who handles payments, verification and technical escalations out of hours?
- What happens when demand exceeds the included capacity?
- Who writes and maintains the knowledge base?
Compare the whole monthly cost
A low fee can become expensive if your founders still spend hours answering escalations, fixing incorrect replies or writing every procedure. Equally, paying for a large dedicated team before there is enough work can leave you funding unused capacity.
Put each quote beside the same list of responsibilities. Check how response targets are measured, how absences are covered and how additional work is approved. Ask for an example report so you know what you will be able to inspect.
Roundtide offers shared and dedicated casino support, with scope and capacity agreed around your operation. The useful starting point is a short description of your queue and the work you want taken off your team.
